This beautiful batik dress is completely handmade from start to finish. I use high quality organic cotton knit fabric, organic cotton thread, pure beeswax, and traditional methods for the batik design and colors. The batik design is an original work of art.
Measurements are taken with the dress laying flat, not stretched. The soft, medium weight fabric does stretch gently over the course of the day, but does not stretch out. I wore mine for 2 solid days at the last festival I set my booth up at, so I know how well this fabric holds up to intense activity, and how great the dress continued to look in such a vibrant setting. Compliments and blissful stares, it's a good feeling!
The neckline is slightly different on each side, however the style is reversible. Either batik design can be worn on the front or back.
The sizing for this stretchy dress can be considered a Medium. As a reference, the model is a dress size 4-6.
Laying flat, measurements are :
- 16.5" across the chest
- 14" at the waist and
- 25" skirts out wide at the hem
- 40" from shoulder to the bottom hem
- neckline: 9.5" from top of shoulder to the bottom center of the vneck on the front side, 8" on the back
Fabric content is 100% pre-shrunk organic cotton knit. Machine wash and tumble dry is recommended. Avoid hand washing, soaking, or hanging to drip dry. These batiks are made to last for years, if not decades, with basic care.
